Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-25-04  Bobak Zahmat: Why has White won the game? It is obvious that Black has a bad position, but it not a clear win for White.
Nov-25-04  mjk: Maybe the last move was not 15.♘c4 since 15.♘xc8 ♘xc8 16.♖d8+ ♔f7 17.♖xh8 looks winning.
Nov-26-04  percyblakeney: 15. Nxc8 does indeed look better than Nc4. There's an essay in Swedish where this game is given as "Tarrasch-NN" (and with Nc4): http://www.jora.info/essayer/tarras...

kwgurge: After Nc4 black must lose material. White's threats of Rd8 or Nb6 can't both be defended. Allowing Rd8 drops the KR. Interposing QB or QN on d7 loses at least the exchange to Nb6. Moving the K drops either the QN or the exchange after Ra6. Nd5 drops material to Nb6 also - if QR move, NxN & BxQN; if NxN, Rd8 wins the exchange.
