  plang: 13..b5 and 13..c5 are the standard moves; 13..bxc has been rarely played though it was used in the draw Karpov-Kasparov 1986 WC Match game 21. After 19..Bxc3 20 Qxc3..Nf6 21 Nxc4..Bxc4 22 Qxc4..Qd6 23 Re3..Rfe8 24 Ra3 with the idea of Ra6 White would have had a large advantage. White also would have remained in control after 24..Nxa4 25 Qa3..Bb5 26 Nxc5..Nxc5 27 Qxc5. Karpov doesn't offer many suggestions for Black but it is clear that Adianto missed Karpov's pretty concluding queen sacrifice.
