Sep-01-07  notyetagm: Wow, 24 ♗h3xe6+!!.

Kasparov was just the master of tactics.

Sep-03-07  notyetagm: 24 ♗h3xe6+!! is the greatest example I have ever seen of the tactical idea <EXCHANGE ON THE PINNING SQUARE>. Kasparov (White) exchanges the <PARTIALLY PINNED> Black e6-pawn for a <COMPLETELY PINNED> Black e6-rook.

24 ♗h3xe6+!! is the <EXCHANGE ON THE PINNING SQUARE> tactical concept taken to the 2800-level.

Sep-10-07  notyetagm: God how I love this combination.

24 ♗h3xe6+!!

Sep-15-08  newton296: 24 Bxe6 ! thats just pretty !

kamalakanta: I feel 27...Qf6 is a mistake. 27...d4 looks good.

kamalakanta: Once White blocks the d4 square with 28.Qg4+ and 29.Rd4, it is over. The Black bishop has no play. It might as well be a pawn.
Sep-16-08  jovack: feel the burn

kasparov pwns ivanchuk here

Jan-30-12  master of defence: What´s wrong with 23. Bxe6+? Or Kasparov didn´t see this earlier?
