Feb-06-09  Riverbeast: In keeping with the 'game of the day', here is another nice game of Planinc's with the Petrosian variation of the Winawer.

Right, White is winning after 28.fxg3 fxg3 29.Rf6!, but then one needs to see that White King is safe after 29...Qh2+ (or 29...Rxd4 30.Qe3!▢) 30.Kf1 Qh1+ 31.Ke2 Qxg2+ 32.Kd3 axb6 33.Qxb6
With 28.Rfd1 Tringov was maybe expecting 28...Qh2+ 29.Kf1 Qh1+? 30.Ke2, and missed the blow 30...f3!!
