Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-23-07  KokeFischer: 13. Bxe6 was an interesting alternative to 13. d4 which lost the initiative.

If black takes 13. ...dxe6 then 14. Nxe6 will avoid black's castle.

If black chooses 13. ... 0-0-0 then 14. Bh3 and 15. Nf7 are menaces that maintain an extra healthy central pawn.

fredthebear: Two players with a reputation for playing "creative" chess. This game did not disappoint in that regard, although it does seem White missed a sacrifice on e6. The "first sac" with a rook instead of minor piece is often best if it allows for the second rook to come over, a pin, or doubled pawn w/a leaking structure to the king.

This game features an Exchange Sacrifice by both colors during the final act.
