Kibitzer's Corner
May-24-11  notyetagm: What a massacre!
May-24-11  Gilmoy: <11.b3> makes Black's Q-side counterplay melt away. <13.0-0> offers the pawn back for a positional crush on the long diagonal, with all of Black's pieces awful. Black wisely declines, but his Ne8-Nc7 idea looks too slow. The thematic <16..Rfb8> bites on granite instead.

<22.a4 23.a5> is the granite biting back!! One wonders if White burned some neurons calculating <22.Nf5+ gxf5 23.Qg5+ Kh8 24.Qxf5> to an impenetrable fog.

<26..g5> has one redeeming feature: Black's K-side is no longer weak on the <black> squares. <32..Na7> is thematic (relative to this game; not to theory!): down 1-5 on the K-side, so we must move another piece to the a-file. If White tries Qc2, Black plans Rb5 Δ Rxa5!! Ahem ...
