wordfunph: after losing this game, GM Matulovic threw his rook against the wall with such force the piece split apart.

chess is hard!

Jan-17-19  jerseybob: I think black's last chance to stay in the game is 10..h6, and if 11.Nd5!?, hxg 12.Nxc7,Rb8 13.Nxg5,Rf8 with Bf6 and Kg7 to follow and black should hold. 15.e5! is the winner and Amos' technique is excellent.
Jan-17-19  ChessHigherCat: Black must have been expecting the fork 22. Nc7+ instead of the fork 22. Nd6+, which forked him out of a whole piece instead of just the exchange.
