Oct-19-04  Knight13: 7. Bg5?? is a totally a big mistake! 7... Bg4+! 8. Bd2 Qxa8+ Ke2 9. Bxd2 and White is in a trouble. Interesting game by the Big Mistake.

  tpstar: 3. Bc4?! is already dubious because Black gets a good game with 3 ... fe 4. Nxe5 d5 or 4 ... Qg5 = Opening Explorer. Then White overlooked 6. Qh5+?! (6. Rf1) g6 7. Nxg6?? Qxg6 winning a piece and therefore played for the swindle 7. Bg5!? gxh5? 8. Bf7#. Instead 7 ... Bb4+ created an escape square at f8, then 8 ... gxh5 and White is lost. Here's a better way to handle the Greco-Latvian Gambit = Smyslov vs M Kamishov, 1945
Nov-08-04  azaris: Black had a Tromp up his sleeve.
Nov-08-04  dac1990: You could say that it was Black's Tromp card. White has been "fired".
Jul-31-06  iWaNnAbAgM: It kinda looks like a Blackburne Gambit i recently played in a tournament, and my opponent took it and i won easist game iv'e played in a tournament.
Aug-08-13  GumboGambit: Im sure Tromp went "Owsky" after Blacks last move.

As far as I know (and witnessed by the Opening Explorer too), 6.Qh5+ is the main line here. After 6...g6, White should of course neither play 7.Nxg6?? Qxg6 nor Mr Tromp's "novelty" 7.Bg5??, but 7.Bf7+ Kd8 8.Bxg6 Qxh1+ 9.Ke2, reaching a wild and unclear position I would not like to play with either side...
