Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-02-06  Operation Mindcrime: First post, so I'll pick an old favourite.

I first encountered this charming game in Andrew Soltis' excellent "The Inner Game Of Chess", as an example of how to calculate a "long combination". Bc3!! is a terrific move, giving up the rook for control of the long diagonal. Following this, several forcing checks - and a mate threat - force an endgame of queen and several pawns against rook and bishop, which is clearly won. A lesser-known game than Larsen v. Petrosian, but a great one nonetheless.

Mar-26-12  Everett: This line always struck me as an improved ..a5 Bogo-Indian Defense.

Larsen has a lot of worthwhile ideas in his games.
