Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-19-07  RandomVisitor: 16...Rfe8 was better.
Jun-19-07  euripides: 19.Nc5 is gorgeous. A game one could be proud of losing.
Jun-19-07  vivalarevolution: 22...Qxc5
23. Rc1 Qb6
24. Rc6!

now black either loses his queen (24...Qxc6 25. Ne7) or white plays Rxf6 next move.

He must have seen the whole line when playing 19.Nc5 - hats off.

Aug-03-08  luzhin: After 22...Qxc5 23.Rc1 Black should play 23..Qa7, not 23..Qb6. If then 24.Rc6, Black has time to play the return pawn sacrifice 24..d4.
Nov-04-09  Cees Verhagen: Why not 19..Nxc5?
Nov-04-09  Antonius Blok: <Cees Verhagen:Why not 19..Nxc5?> 19...Nxc5? 20. Rxc5 Rxc5 21.b4!

<luzhin:> Yes 24..d4 would be the only defense coz white is threatening 25.Rxf6 gxf6 26.Qxf6 and game is done

Nov-04-09  Cees Verhagen: ok. 21b4! but what about 21)...Rc2
Nov-06-09  Cees Verhagen: <Cees Verhagen:Why not 19..Nxc5?> 19...Nxc5? 20. Rxc5 Rxc5 21.b4 After 21...Rc2 I do not see how white can win. Better is 20.b4 Qb6 22.bxc5. Or am I wrong?
