Dec-07-04  ConLaMismaMano: Is "The Web" a chess website?

chessgames.com: Oh, this must be another one for The World.
Dec-07-04  Appaz: It was, although it was mostly Norwegians I guess, since a Norwegian web-newspaper hosted the match.

The rules where a bit special: GM Agdestein proposed three moves that "The World" could choose from.

May-21-05  chessboyhaha: What sad! Drawn by perpetual check! Looks like Carlsen position is better.
May-21-05  MoonlitKnight: Allegedly, Magnus didn't take the game too seriously and usually replied almost straight away when Agdestein called to hear his move.
Apr-28-06  bgarman: This Game is simply magnificently played by Magnus!
Jul-08-07  TheaN: Rxg2 Rgf2 Rg2 Rh2 Rhg2 Rgf2 with + + + + + +. Yeah, it's perpetual.
Jan-09-08  D.Observer: The World is losing because of a backrow checkmate from Carlsen.
Jan-09-08  dabearsrock1010: <D. Observer> its a clear draw see above posts the white king cannot escape rook checks
May-28-08  Udit Narayan: The World has perpetual check and hence a draw in hand; however, forcing checkmate is not possible in this specific position.
Dec-21-08  thebribri8: Is there a way that Carlsen could have avoided a draw and kept his superior position?
Feb-22-09  WhiteRook48: 31....Rxg2+ crazy game
Aug-06-09  WhiteRook48: the Net
Jan-14-15  Dvd Avins: This match is from 2010, not 2002 as it currently says. As remarkable as Carlsen is, in 2002, the year he turned 12, he was not yet an IM and not famous enough to be in such a match.

tamar: Not more remarkable than chessgames posters, who apparently left comments about a game 6 years before you insist it was played.

Tabanus: This game was played 6 May - 20 June 2002. "The World" in this case was "Norway", although anyone could take part.

What should "Site" be?

Apr-06-16  morfishine: <Tabanus> Does the site really matter?

Tabanus: <morfishine> I don't know, you can ask the pgn guys. I just wanted to know what to write in there, or in any "The World" game.
