  fredthebear: It's uncommon to see a hypermodern approach (Black fianchettoes both bishops) gain such a significant space advantage. White loses time with his knights having to retreat.

The fork 34.Qe4 could have been played instead of accepting Black's exchange sacrifice. 36.Ke2 was not a useful move, but White was in trouble anyway. 37.Kd3 is met by 37...Qg6+. The skewer check leaves the unprotected White queen for the taking.
