Oct-25-07  Tenderfoot: Not exactly a work of art, as far as chess games go. But with a name like P de what can you expect? Answer: this.
Sep-03-10  eightbyeight: I don't think White has any reason to resign. He seems perfectly okay, except for being a pawn down.

  Phony Benoni: It's usually suspicious when the player who has just moved "resigns", and a sign that the game score is incomplete. It may have been originally published with the note "And Black wins" after the last move given.

Here, though, White is not perfectly fine. His kingside pawn formation is so bad that he is essentially two pawns down. The rooks are probably coming off on the f-file, leaving White no source of counterplay. With Anderssen playing Black, I'd say this is close to a 100% win--but not an immediate one. White probably did play on a bit longer, though we don't have the moves.
