Jul-03-05  notyetagm: Another smooth Adams win in the French Tarrasch.
Jul-03-05  notyetagm: 32 g4! and Black resigns. Where can the Black queen go? If the she loses contact with the h7-square, say 32 ... ♕f3, then White simply plays 33 ♕h7#. But if the Black queen stays in contact with h7 but leaves behind the f6-square, say 32 ... ♕d3, then White mates in 2 with 33 ♕xf6+ ♔g8 34 ♕g7#. <Thus 32 g4! removes the guard, driving the Black queen away from the defense of either f6 or h7, with fatal consequences.>
Jul-03-05  OneArmedScissor: yes, very good game.
Jan-09-06  oahuchess: 33 Qg6 Re7 34 Kxe7 Qxg6

  patzer2: After the decoy 31. Rxf7! Kxf7 and the deflection 32. g4!, White's Queen becomes an overworked piece. No longer able to occupy f5, the Queen cannot guard against the multiple threats of 32...Qg6 33. Re7+ or 32...Qf3 33. Qh7# or 32...Qd3 33. Qxf6+ Kg8 34. Qg7#.
Mar-27-08  whiteshark: <26...Bxa2??> is the evil ♙ grabbing.

Archaic or sociopathic or both ???

Anyhow <26...Be2 27.Rc1 Qc8 > should have been played.
