Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-14-05  piteira8: Very nicely done by Ibragimov. Black must take the rook with the queen, because otherwise 26. Nf6 sets up mate in two (26. ... gf, 27. Qg3 followed by Qg7 or 26. ... Kh8, 27 Qh7 #). After trading white's rook for its queen, black will lose very quickly.
Jun-22-05  ReikiMaster: Yes, puzzle material - even for Sunday!
Jul-23-05  peters4n6: what does white do after 23....Bd7?
Aug-17-05  peters4n6: correct that..what does white do after 23...Be7 ?
Aug-17-05  Anastasia: my 10cents
23..Be7 24.d6 Bxd6 25.Nf6+ gxf6 Qg6+
or 23..Be7 24.d6 Bd8 25.Nc5 Nxc5 26.Qg6
Aug-17-05  peters4n6: Anastasia: I like 25. Nc5 That's a great continuation (one that I did not see!)
Sep-12-06  Whitehat1963: Conquering Ehlvest.

Peligroso Patzer: Ibragimov's fine sacrificial play in this game produced a final position that could be descibed as "Ehlvest up with no place to go".
