Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-12-06  lentil: this game must have been played before the "3-fold repetition = draw" rule came into effect! (btw, repeating 25 times = 50-move rule....)
Jun-12-06  mjk: <lentil>Not at all. Three-fold repetition is not an automatic draw; it has to be claimed by the player about to repeat a position for (at least) the third time. Black just wanted time on the clock, not a draw. And White was never in a position to make a move that would have qualified.
Sep-28-19  NimzoCharlie: White could have claimed a draw with his 44th move.
