Feb-24-06  Kola: This game is funny. Was Kaspy toying with Ilya or what?
Feb-24-06  Alyosha: It does look like he was toying with him, doesn't it? :)

Although it's also possible that he kept making those knight checks to stall a bit while he focused on one of the other games that was giving him more trouble. I was fortunate enough to watch this game when it was played in Tel Aviv; Kasparov annihilated four of Israel's top players simultaneously (3-1 in the first round [with 2 wins and 2 draws] and 4-0 in the second round [!!]). These were all very strong GMs with 2600+ ratings. Kasparov later said in an interview that this result was one of the most impressive feats of his career

Jul-16-09  butilikefur: 54...Ra7 55. Qc8+ Kh7 56. Qc5 Qxd3 57. Qxa7 Qb1+ would have been a cute finish.
Mar-20-10  Extremophile: One of my favorite Kasparov games! He puts enormous psychological pressure on the opponent with already a draw in his hands. This game needs a pun though...
Mar-20-10  Sularus: how about... Smearin' ?
