plang: Goldin finished first with 8.5-0.5. Smirin finished a clear second a full point behind. 13..Qd8 was new; 13..Qb6 had been played previously. Smirin would have had good compensation after 14..Nf2+ 15 Rxf2..Bxf2 16 Nxe5 so Goldin played 14..f6. After a few more moves they agreed to a draw in a very unclear position.
Feb-06-17  Straclonoor: <...they agreed to a draw in a very unclear position.> Now (thanks to Stockfisch developers!) we can make clearance on this position.

After 22....gxh6 continuation would be
Stockfish 8 64 -0.12 (depth 31) 23.Rf1 Bd4 24.Qxh5 O-O-O 25.Bb3 Be3 26.Qh4 Bg5 27.Qf2 Qb4 28.h4 Bd2 29.Ne7+ Qxe7 30.Qxd2 Bxf5 31.Qxh6 Bxe4 32.Rxf6 Qb4 33.Rf7 Kb8 34.Kh2 Rd2 35.Qf8+ Qxf8 36.Rxf8+ Kc7 37.h5

May-22-20  wordfunph: "In Round 7, I was Black and he played a new move, leading to a highly unclear position. I was very nervous, and when he offered a draw I accepted immediately. But when we analyzed the game, we found I was better at that point!"
