Dec-12-06  black knight c6: why not play 26. Qh4 ??
If say 26. ... h5 then as the last comment, 27. Qg5
If 26. ... Kg7 then 27. Qh6+! (not Qh7+) 27. ... Kh8 28. Qxh7++ hmm ok now I've got stuck at 26. ... Nxf6 27. Nxf6 Kg7 and I suppose white will have to conk out with 28. Nxe8+ Qxe8 and something like 29. Qf2 Anyway it seems like h4 isn't a good move, its just a good waiting move because Keene has realised black cannot do anything with his rook. But I don't see it's point if black can take away white's pieces from the attack anyway.

ray keene: just noticed this query after a slight gap of several years-h4 on move 26 is not a waiting move-its to defend the white q so i can take his rook!

Fusilli: I loved this game. It's good to know that, under proper conditions, white can let black's pawn advance on the queenside happen and for the most part ignore it.

So... if white plays the Saemisch against the KID and black plays c5, it seems that transposition to Benoni is imminent, right?
