Jan-06-12  optimal play: This unusual line of the Falkbeer Countergambit (Rubinstein variation) up to 6...Bf5 appears to have only been played just once before Steinitz vs NN, 1870 The great Steinitz then played 7.Bc4 compared to Fischer's 7.h3 Whilst Wilhelm brilliantly disposed of NN in just 30 moves, almost a hundred years later Bobby took a bit longer against his opponent, although he had to deal with 48 all at the same time...and won all of them!
