Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-19-05  JordanKwiatek: This game is like looking at a nice bottle of champaigne- the pieces fall into place like bubbles rising to the top, everything looks in place, the cork must come off!!!, but no, the B is better on cl-h7, more and more pressure mounts, and *POOF* qb6 sets off a reaction that all seems very forcing, ending in of course, a crisp, champaigne like finish.
Sep-19-05  DAL9000: You spend an a lot of time thinking about alcoholic beverages, don't you?
Sep-20-05  JordanKwiatek: No, I dont actually, the comparison to champaigne was not brought on by some sudden burst of alcoholism, but rather playing through the abouve game. I think chess can be spoke of or described in mediphors and is a nice poetic relief from all the standard stuff ( variations, positional idea's etc) Call it "Progressive Annotation"
Oct-31-05  Soltari: So why does black surrender after Qg4+? What's white's plan after 24...Kf8?
