Jun-12-08  der623: The threat of Rc8+ and Rg8 mate will force Black to retreat his rook which means White will pick up the c2 pawn and go two pawns up in the endgame. If Black pushes h6 or h5, White pushes to g6 with the threat of g7+ and g8(Q) discovered check.
