Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-04-07  Tomlinsky: This is a nice example of a Classical Caro-Kann. However, I've checked the score from several sources and all seems correct so, umm, why 30.Qf4+ game drawn and not 30.Qe1 Mate? It seems a heck of a mate for Azmaiparashvili to miss.
Feb-04-07  schnarre: <Tomlinsky> No kidding!
Mar-16-07  Dres1: Im watching Andrew Martin's ABC of CaroKan, and he goes over this game.. and he says Qf4+ with a draw.. he doesnt even mention that Qe1 is mate.. i came here to check if it was an error, but same thing... whats going on? why doesnt anyone notice that its mate?
Aug-01-09  Arcturus: Mate is overrated.
