Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-26-07  lostthefight: 4.Qxe4+ and it looks so sweet for example of not having enough material to take advantage of a highly comprimised position. Clearly black is lost at 31. Kd2, but continues on even after the position is mathematical at 34. Rxc5. I would like to have seen Lasker's reaction to having to play the last few moves.
Mar-21-12  LoveThatJoker: Guess-the-Move Final Score:

Lasker vs N Miniati, 1890.
Your score: 78 (par = 56)

PS. <lostthefight> From what I'm gathering via CG's database, the games with Miniati were from a match played between the two. Maybe this was the first game between them and Miniati underestimated Lasker and "couldn't stand" losing to him. Or maybe due to the fact that Lasker was already clobbering him in the match, Miniati played on out of spite.

Either way, great game by the future World Champ!

Jun-15-12  MindCtrol9: Lasker, the great!!!! He could play anything, that's why I love his games, the way he used to move the pieces not wasting anytime. The development to activate his pieces, the simplicity and complexity.Something I really like is how he moved the knights in combination with the other pieces. He was and he will Emanuel Lasker, the inmortal, the evergreen player.
Dec-26-17  Christoforus Polacco: If 7... Bb6 8.Bb5+ and White wins (mate by the rook or black's Queen will be killed)
Feb-01-19  andrewjsacks: A classic of late resignation.
