<Mr. Lasker played at Birmingham on Thursday, at the Grand Hotel, under the auspices of the Birmingham Centre Chess Club. Play began at 7 p.m., on 25 boards, and had not concluded at 11 p.m., when time was called. The result was half-a-dozen unfinished games, a few draws, one victory against the champion, scored by Mr. Joseph Moore, and about a dozen wins scored by Mr. Lasker.>
