Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-10-06  PhilFeeley: Landa brilliantly manages to take apart Fercec's Chigorin Defense, yet Fercec manages to use it later in G Franchini vs N Fercec.
Jan-10-06  IT4LICO: 2 bishops beat 2 knight. this kind of game (in which there are only 2 bishops in a side and 2 knights in the other as light pieces) are very interesting, im selecting them. Very often it is a draw, but there are more wins for bishops than for knights. Indeed Smyslov was a specialist with knights and often beats Botvinnik's pair of bishops!
Jan-11-06  Gowe: In open positions bishop seems to be better and in a close position knights, generally speaking, are better. 22.Qxb8 starts an amazing combination.
After 23.Bxf6 if black plays:
Rxb1?? lose inmediately.
22.Qxb8 Rxb1 23.Bxd8! Rxg1 24.dxc6!! winning.

Great game by Landa!
