Kibitzer's Corner
May-23-08  KingG: Black tries to improve on the famous game Polugaevsky vs Tal, 1969, with 21...Qe7, but then seems to immediately go wrong with 22...Rc4?(22...Nc4 is the only chance, but still looks very dangerous after 22.Rd3), which give an almost identical position to the one after move 21 in the above game. And it seems that White can win in exactly the same fashion: 23.h5+ Kh6(23...Kxh5?? 24.g4+ Kg6 25.Qf5+ Kh6 26.Qh7+ Kf4 27.Qf5#) 24.Nxf7+ Kh7 25.Qf5+ Kg8 26.e6 with a decisive attack.

Very strange that both players missed this, considering that they must obviously be very familiar with the Polu-Tal game. It also seems very odd to play into this line as Black, especially if you don't have something strong prepared. Maybe it was simply a blunder?
