technical draw: So the ten year old Carlsen loses. Big deal. I think he was Svindahled.

MarkThornton: <40. Bf1??> is an extraordinary blunder. Presumably, Magnus had no time at all.
Mar-04-08  Knight13: Lucky little rascal, you Jan!
Oct-01-10  BobbyFischerFan: Why didn't black take the Rook on move 34.Bxd1 instead of taking the Knight 34.Qxf2?

alexmagnus: This is probably Carlsen's earliest game in this database.
Aug-01-14  treeborn20: Fan, that's because black needs his bishop to protect the E8 spot. although black is supposed to be screwed either way, after either ..Qxf2 or ..Bxd1 after 35E7,
35..Re8 36d6Q+ 36..Kh8 37d7
(or the better defence but less obvious 35..Rd6 36QC8+ 36..Kh7 37Be4+ 37..Rg6) it is supposed to be a clear win for white
Apr-02-20  joddon: must have been a time trouble loss, he was over intimidated.
