fredthebear: In the final position, White is threatening 30.Rg8#.

Black is forced to capture the threatening rook. After 29...QxRg5?, the White queen can use a rook+ deflection to win the Black queen by 30.Qh8+ Qg8 (if 30...Kf7 31.QxRe8+) 31.RxRe8+ KxRe8 32.QxQg8+.

Thus, Black resigned for good reason.
