Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-26-12  Bowen Island: After 4. Bd3 c5! (best)

Taking 7. ... cxd4 before 8. ...f6 is crucial.

12. ... 0-0 Black strategically weak but has better piece play. After 13. Bh4 Nh5!

17. gxf3 (lately White has preferred 17. Bxh5)

After 19. Nxf4 Bxf4, followed by ...Bd7, ...Rf8. ...e5! if 21. Kxh2 Nxg6/h4

If 22. Nxf5 Qg6 threatening mate.

Instead of 22. ...Rf8, Nxd4! "practically winning." if 23. Rxd4 exd4 24. Qb1 Qe6

Mar-26-12  Bowen Island: Comments by S. Williams from his excellent DVD The Killer French Part One.
