WannaBe: I think I can beat ETABETA (Computer)
May-27-06  theskandinavian: Me, too! ETABETA's play is full of blunders and crazy moves... It doesn't even try to prevent the mate!?
May-27-06  Knight13: What the hell is this? Hanging pieces and making unsound sacrifices and letting opponent mate you? I bet those free chess softwares can beat White.
May-27-06  WarmasterKron: <WannaBe> So could I, but it'd be the sort of game to have my fellow kibitzers watching through their fingers.
May-27-06  THE pawn: Since this game is allowed on the database...I might as well send a couple of my childhood games. Just in case.
May-28-06  supertimchan: The sacrifice isnt unsound, its a book sacrifice. But the computer didnt follow it properly.

WannaBe: <supertimchan> If you are referring to the B for 2 pawns, I've seen that before, and I asked the very same question in the cafe, dated April 1st 2006.

But you need to get 3 pawns for it, not 2, and yes, the follow up play wasn't correct. This software needs major upgrades/reprogramming. =)

May-30-06  mandar: Till 12 moves i liked the game,But for <ETABETA>It was necessary to play Nbc7+ instead of nbc3 on 13th move.Any one wanna correspondence game with me on this line?May be we can discuss this opening there. I am mandarcg on www.schemingmind.com
Jan-11-07  Mendrys: Looks like they had ETABETA in Suitmate mode or the "How not to sacrifice a bishop for 2 pawns" mode. Just dreadful.
