  plang: 18..bc is a queen sacrifice that had been played earlier in the same tournament by Anand against Topalov. Anand had been fortunate to draw. Illescas, for some reason, played it again. Black has drawing chances but little active play and this variation has disappeared from practice. Salov's technique as well as his patience are instructive.
