GrahamClayton: I am surprised that I am the first kibitzer for a brilliant attacking game by Pedersen.

18...♕e7 defending the f6-pawn loses to 19. ♘c6, and Black has to sacrifice the Queen to stop 20. ♖d8#.

  whiteshark: <Novelty of stem-game: 14. ...Qc5>

It seems that <14....Nxc6 15.Bxc6+ Bd7 16.Bxd7+ Rxd7 > works better as in S Mariotti vs Ribli, 1976

Jul-28-13  JoergWalter: This is the first game in Nunn's "101 Brilliant Chess Miniatures":

<16.Nxb8! This queen sacrifice, first played in the current game, is the only way for White to continue his attack. Contrary to R. Maric's analysis in Informator 12, it should lead to a draw against best defence. [...] 18....Qc7? the fatal error. 18....Qf5! is the best defence. After 19.Rd3 (19.Nxf6+ Qxf6 20.Bc6+ Ke7 21.Rxf6 Kxf6 is equal)19...Qf4! White is forced into the drawisch liquidation with 20.Nxf6+ etc.)>
