Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-21-07  qskakaley: I'm kind of surprised that this game hasn't been commented on...it's actually quite interesting...White plays rather well, I think, but I believe Black's play was rather poor. Of course, I'm pretty new to chess, so this game could be absolutely terrible, but I feel like I have played a few of these as White. 18...Kxf7?? was pretty bad. Why not 18...gxh5 ?

Man, it's just so cool to see White's moves 11-13!!

Oct-21-07  qskakaley: BTW, obviously I realize that even after 18...gxh5 that Black is still losing after White grabs Black's rook, but I mean, he would be down a rook, instead of a bishop and a knight for the queen. In this case, I would much rather eliminate White's uber-active queen and try to defend from there. Otherwise, well, I think this game shows what can happen in such situations where queens are allowed to fully utilize their power. Others' thoughts?
Feb-27-09  WhiteRook48: This is why I do not play the Scandinavian Defense
