Dec-27-06  cannibal: Did anybody call the Petrov a boring opening? You just need Shirov at the board! Incredibly wild middle game.
Dec-27-06  Mameluk: I wonder what was Shirov´s intention, because black´s score in this line was just zero. 26. Re1 is first blunder, after simple 26. Kxf1 white must have big advantage. With 30. Rxe2! white almost saves the game, but 40. Qxh7 is another blunder. After 40. Qf8+ black can play for win only Ke6, but after Bb8! there is surprisingly no way to play for a win with black.
Dec-27-06  slomarko: Memeluk it is 28.Re1 and 40.Qd8
Dec-28-06  Mameluk: Yes it is. Thank you:)
Dec-28-06  Mameluk: On www.crestbook.com Shipov shows another surprising possibilities for Lazna in this game. Pity it does not have english version, cause Shipov is da best.
