Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-02-12  backrank: This game, especially its wonderful finish, deserves to be better known.

After 21. Qg4! (White cannot take e4 due to his weak back rank) Bg6 (forced) 22. Rxf7!! Kxf7 (forced due to lethal threat on g7) 23. Bc4 Rd5 (the only try; Kf8 immediately succumbs to 24. Qe6) 24. Qf3+ Ke6 (again the only try) 25. Bg3+ Kd7 26. Bxd5 Qa6 27. Be6+ and mate follows.

I guess before playing 22. Rxf7, White had to work it out until 25. Bg3+.
