  Jonathan Sarfati: Black's second move was close to being the losing one! Botvinnik liked to play ...e5 against the closed Sicilian, but that was only after White had committed his B to g2. It also has a point if White has already played Nf3, blocking the f-pawn. But allowing White to play both Bc4 and f4 left Black with a very difficult game.

  Richard Taylor: Yes it doesn't look good. I think it was in the World Champs versus Smyslov that Botvinnik used it or maybe the other way around. But not with the B able to get to c4.
