Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-22-07  Grega: Very good play against formidable IM.
Apr-22-07  sandmanbrig: why did white never grab that outpost on d6?
Apr-22-07  Whack8888: <sandmanbrig> I believe it is because after Bxd6 then exd6 leaves White open to a counter attack on the c pawn and then if b4 Black can play a5. If cxd6 then White is vunerlable to f6 and maybe g5--either way, in the resulting position I believe White's advanced pawns will turn out to be weaknesses instead of cramping Black's position. Note that White would only be left with a bad dark squared bishop and Black would have a well placed Knight.
