Jul-13-07  Stranger: LOL..

Short really enjoys playing 2100 rated players...
he did the same thing in Baku.

LOL
haha

i wonder why is he still being invited to these tournaments? just to get paid???

Jul-13-07  Atking: It's an Open <Stranger> The first rounds: Strong player plaid "weak" one. There is some top GM too in this open. Therefore this game is not as obvious as you seem to say. Could you explain why black didn't play 14...Qxc2 ?
Jul-13-07  danielpi: <Atking> Hmmm... 14...Qc2 seems playable. Looks like he wanted to protect the rook on g8, anticipating Bxh6. I think maybe it would be better to take the pawn...

I think maybe it would be better to take the pawn...> Yes that's not obvious (15.Bxh6 QxNe2 16.Bxg7 Qg4 17.QxQ fxQ 18.h6 Bf5)15.Re1 keeping the threat was probably Nigel's idea. I like the flexibility of his 11.Ne2 and 15.dxc!
Jul-15-07  schnarre: Methodically taken apart was Black..
Jul-18-07  Atking: 9.Qg4 Qa5 10.Bd2 Nf5 10.Bd3 0-0 could have been a better move order and a better set up. f6 makes rook active. The rook did nothing in g8 except to protect a pawn !
Sep-07-11  pinknipple: Very easy victory for shorty
Early h4 seems to be goood
