Jul-25-07  acirce: The 13 or 14 year old Arvola makes a strong pawn sac in the opening (seems like a novelty) and creates big problems for 580 points higher rated Khenkin particularly after 19..fxe4! but lets him get away with a draw. For example, 25..Qf5 or 25..Qf7 with the simple idea of winning the d-pawn to add to the positional pluses should just be winning. There are mutual mistakes and especially in the final moves because of huge time trouble. The final position is of course drawn because of perpetual check after 33..Rxf2 34.Qe6+ etc.
Jul-25-07  Ziggurat: Interesting. Kind of looks like a game by a young Kasparov.
