Sep-15-07  Resignation Trap: No, Moro doesn't join the winners, he lost to Kramnik yesterday; remember?

Eyal: It seems that Svidler's downfall was caused by the Qh6-Qd2 maneuver on moves 18-19.
Sep-15-07  suenteus po 147: Great play by Morozevich in the second half, but this loss is largely Svidler's own fault. What was he up and why did he let it all slip away?
Sep-15-07  dabearsrock1010: great game by moro svidler got his queen chased around there
Sep-15-07  orio24: After yesterday's disaster, this is a great comeback. Moro is back in!

WannaBe: It is great! And I said <GREAT> to see a Scotch played at this level/tournament!

Me, being a (terrible) Scotch player.

Sep-16-07  Aspirador: I'm a terribly good Scotch drinker.
Sep-16-07  Red October: <Me, being a (terrible) Scotch player. > <Wannabe> you dont play the Scotch .. you <drink> it... ;-p
Sep-16-07  Ulhumbrus: Svidler appears to gain the better of the opening. Instead of 13...dxe4?!, 13..Rad8 gets the Queen's Rook out. It is not obvious that Black cannot win a pawn on e4. 14 Nd2!! is the move which turns the tables. It turns out that in the event of Ne4, the Black Q lacks a square from which to defend the Black KB on c5.
Sep-16-07  Ezzy: Pretty heavy loss by Svidler. He will be a bit depressed with this effort.
Sep-16-07  Resignation Trap: <Ezzy> Based on this photograph at the press conference, "a bit depressed" is an understatement: http://www.chesspro.ru/_images/mate... . :(
Sep-16-07  eric flamer: i really like this game.
Sep-17-07  Ulhumbrus: On 14 Nd2! exf3 (?) 15 Ne4 Black's Q can in fact go to b6. However Marin gives 14...exf3 15 Nxc4 Nxc4 16 Qd3 forking the Nc4 and the h7 pawn
Sep-17-07  Jack Kerouac: Morozovetch can't win?
Let's Scotch that rumor....
Sep-17-07  Resignation Trap: Concentrating before the start of the game: http://russiachess.org/images/stori... .
Sep-18-07  Davolni: Nice game by Moro!!!!

a very good one!

Sep-19-07  Hot Logic: Moro got a Haircut and a full point, not so sure about the first but dig the latter!
Jul-11-10  hellopolgar: interview with moro after the game
