  bright1: After 23. Nc5, what happens if black plays Qxb2?
Feb-03-08  nolanryan: one possibility is ..Ndb3, and if 24. Kxg7 maybe Nxb7. Looks like Jobava had different ideas for black anyway.

  Gilmoy: A newbie plays 12..Bh2+ and thinks, <I checked him!! I'm making progress!!>

A tyro thinks: <What's the big deal? It costs me the same 1 tempo either way for the inevitable Bd6. All it does is reposition White's K. Why bother?>

A student realizes: <Hey -- repositioning a K to h1/h8 sometimes <<is>> a big deal! It's Marshall's pipe sac without the sac! It's a zero-Rook variant of two-Rook Damiano! It magnifies any mate threat on h2 and/or fork threat on f2! Can I steer the game toward either of those?>

A master thinks: <How do I steer toward <both>? Aha -->

Feb-07-08  hitman84: Dubious idea in the opening by white. Moves 7 and 8.
