Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-18-08  ounos: A probable finish:

39. Rxd5 Rxd5
40. Rc8+ Rd8
41. RxR+ QxR
42. Qg3 Qd2
43. Kf2 Bg6

Mar-18-08  Kangaroo: Have you thought of <39. Ra3 Nxe3+ 40. Qxe3>?
Mar-19-08  LivBlockade: How does Black win after 39. Rxd5 Rxd5; 40. Ng4?
Mar-20-08  percyblakeney: Gelfand lost on time after not being able to enter his 39th move with some time left on the clock. The Arbiter meant that he must have written an illegal move by mistake since nothing could be found to be wrong with the computer. 39. Ra3 looks winning, even if the move Gelfand tried to play was Rxd5 and he is slightly better also after for example 39. Rxd5 Rxd5 40. Rc6.
