Jun-08-08  luzhin: Svidler's 13...e5! was a great counter-punch. He might even have followed it up with 14...Re8 (and if then 15.exd5 Bxe5 16.Bxe5? Qxg5! with a big plus). The Black bishop looks vulnerable after 25...Bxh5, but it's an illusion: if 26.g4? then c5!
Jun-08-08  SniperOnG7: I hope this is an indication that Svidler is back playing the Grunfeld.
Jun-08-08  messachess: Yes, this was a great game, played very sharply be Svidler. Kudos to Eljanov for finding the defense.

IMlday: The tenacious story told from the point of view of Black's light-square ♗: like Wow, got to attack his ♕ twice and then sit hanging for 10 moves (!) before chopping a couple of ♙s and even a ♘ with disco-check (!) but then was stuck on the edge almost trapped for the endgame~ still, lived to fight another day!
Jun-09-08  Shajmaty: <IMlday: The tenacious story told from the point of view of Black's light-square : like Wow, got to attack his ♕ twice...> Twice from d5, previously once from d7! Very witty, Lawrence.
