Jul-06-08  Augalv: Commentary at http://karjakin.blogspot.com
Jul-06-08  savagerules: Reminds me of the Karpov-Short match in the 90s where Short also got destroyed when he tried the Budapest against Anatoly.
Jul-06-08  aazqua: Ouch. Very nice game by Karjakin.
Jul-07-08  Bobsterman3000: Short should not have opened the long a1-h8 diagonal with the bishop fianchetto.

Maybe 11...Bb7 would have been better? I thought that the whole point of the Budapest is for black to develop his dark-squared knight very quickly and forcibly, rather than backtracking and setting it up in another spot...

Jul-19-08  Atking: <Maybe 11...Bb7 would have been better?> What do you mean?
Aug-08-08  Duck McCluck: must have been a typo, obviously cant be serious.
