Jan-04-09  YoungEd: I wonder if declining the sacrifice and playing 6. ...e6 instead might not have been much better for Black.

TheFocus: From a simultaneous blindfold exhibition at Almeria, Spain at the Circulo Mercantil on August 29, 1945.

Alekhine scored +3=1-0.

See <Ocho x Ocho 1993>, pg. 36.

fredthebear: 6...dxNc3 was far too greedy with a vulnerable f7 square. It's an easy finish for the blindfolded Alekhine.
