whiteshark: Pawn races in rook endgames, always entertaining
Mar-20-09  Bautismo: exciting endgame :) do you know what the time limits were?
Mar-20-09  BadKnight: yes, its amber rapid. 25 min + 10 sec increment.

kamalakanta: At first sight I did not understand 47.Re3, but the fact is that the alternative, 47.Rd1, reaches a zugzwang after 47...Ke4! and the pawn falls anyhow, as Re1+ is not available. Wow! Sometimes Anand reminds me of Capablanca and Rubinstein...
Mar-23-09  JohnBoy: <kama> - this is not as simple as you make it seem. 47.Kb3 avoids the issue you mention. Neither 47...e5 48.Kc4 nor 47...Ke4 48.Re3+ is transparent.
