Jun-24-09  ounos: Without checking with a computer, I think that Black was holding after move 44.

46. ...f6 looks like a terrible mistake. Perhaps this was the tactical nuance that was overlooked:

After 50. Bc6

Black playes 50. ...Kd6, abandoning the g6 pawn after 51. Be8

But 50. ...Ke6 wouldn't be much better, since 51. Be8 Kf5 (defending g6) fails to Bd7#
