Jun-24-09  percyblakeney: 15. ... Ne3 was the novelty and Radjabov probably wanted Nisipeanu to play the engine recommendation 17. Nxd4. The latter found a move the engines disliked but probably was better in 17. f4. Radjabov can't avoid exchanges and even if he has three pieces for the queen he never gets any serious winning chances.

A few moves after 17. Nxd4 black would ideally hope to get a position something like this, with lots of trouble coming up for the white king:
