Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-24-09  birthtimes: Nicely instructive two rook and opposite-colored bishop endgame with Black a pawn up and a winning game, due to White's poorly placed and badly obstructed bishop, and Black's kingside space advantage and piece penetration.

One possible continuation could run 45...Bd5 46. Rcc3 Rg7 47. Kg1 Rf7 48. Re3 hxg3 49. Rxg3 50. Ra1 Kh4

Another could be 45...Bd5 46. Rxa6 Rxg3 47. Rg1 Rxg1 48. Kxg1 g4

Or 45...Bd5 46. Be7 h3 47. Rxa6 h2 48. Raa1 Rg7 49. Bf6 Rh7

Cheparinov made a huge mistake by playing 41. Ke3, as this move obstructed the co-ordinated action of his rooks along his third rank. Better would have been 41. Kd2 Rxg4 42. g3 Kh5 43. gxh4 with most likely a drawn game.
